Anti Malarial Tablets

 Malaria is a potentially life threatening disease spread by the bite of an infected mosquito. If you are travelling to an area that has malaria it is vital that you protect youself and your family. Different types of anti malarial tablets vary in their mode of action and must be taken as prescribed to achieve maximum protection. Remember to always use in combination with  bite  preventative methods .

Atovaquone/Proguanil  ( Malarone) 12 tablets  £46.OO

Schedule : Take one tablet daily, starting 2 days before exposure, during exposure and for 7 days after.                     

 

Malarone Paediatric            12 tablets     £16.50

Schedule as above, dose is dependant on the childs weight.

 Doxycycline                             50 capsules  £32.75

Schedule: Take one capsule daily starting 2 days before exposure, during exposure and for 28 days after.
