COVID-19 APPOINTMENT GUIDELINES

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

All of us at Jenhams Clinic are pleased to welcome you as we re-open and would like to reassure you that every precaution has been taken to ensure your health and safety during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

To enable us to continue to provide our services safely we have made some changes to the way we work. We sincerely hope they do not affect your experience however they have been put in place for both your own protection and members of our team.

Before your appointment

Clients will be seen on an appointment only basis. Please telephone or book on line. There will be no walk-in appointments, please do not come into the clinic unless you have an appointment. In order to ensure social distancing we have decided to allow extra space between appointments. This will ensure that you are the only client present during your visit.

We are initially reopening with reduced clinic hours. Therefore we may not always be there to answer your calls. If we are not able to answer your telephone call please leave your name and number. We will endeavour to return your call within 24 hours to arrange an appointment or answer your query.

If an assessment form is required this will be emailed to you to be completed and returned by email prior to your appointment. If this is not possible please call and we can complete from the clinic with you over the phone.

Your Appointment

If you or anyone in your household currently have/ have had coronavirus symptoms in the last seven days please let us know immediately by telephone so that we can rearrange your appointment; do not attend your appointment and follow the government guidelines around self-isolation.

Please do not arrive at the clinic more than five minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Wait outside the clinic door on the right hand side as you face the shop. Our receptionist will see you there and beckon you to enter as soon as it is safe to do so. Please wear a protective face mask before entering and keep it on until you have left the clinic. We can provide this if required.

When entering the clinic you will be greeted by the receptionist who will be seated behind a protective screen. Please use the hand sanitiser provided immediately. Our receptionist will then invite you to sit in our waiting area to ensure the social distancing is maintained. Where possible please attend your appointment alone, with the exception of under 16s. Should this not be possible please discuss with us prior to the appointment so arrangements can be made.  

No magazines/reading material will be provided whilst you wait to be seen to prevent risk of cross infection.

Please pay with contactless or chip and pin as we wish to avoid handling cash.

All consent for procedures will be verbal and documented accordingly on the computer to avoid paperwork.

Please be aware that it will not be possible to maintain social distancing if any procedure is required but please be assured the nurse will be wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for your appointment.

After your appointment

After each appointment all equipment will be disposed of and contact areas will be disinfected in line with COVD-19 infection control guidelines.

If required, a follow up appointment can be made with the receptionist before you leave.

We hope that you are reassured by the measures we have put in place at this testing time and are confident that we have the safety of you and the members of our team as our top priority.
